Shower Bases, Specs, Installation & Replacement
Choosing a Shower Base
One of the most important parts that you can have installed as part of a bathroom renovation is a reliable shower stall base. You’ll be sending thousands of gallons of water into that base and down the drain over the life of that shower. If you choose a base made from inferior materials or installed without the greatest of care, you can end up with many of those gallons ending up inside the walls of your home — leading to a buildup of black mold that can do anything from simply torpedoing your home value to requiring the tearout of walls, flooring, studs and joists.
Custom Fabricated Shower Bases
When you need a non-standard size shower base or customized drain location, let Edmonton Bath Products build you a custom fabricated one. These custom shower bases are available with a 3″ low profile threshold, a wheel chair ramp, or no threshold at all for recessed in floor installations. The pan sides are 1 3/8″ thick with a built-in tile flange. These bases are made from a durable cast polyner material and fabricated using UV stable surface bonding adhesive for maximum strength.
